Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
Every day I receive many emails offering to make some links or provide automatic content creation, just for search engines to find the webpages better and rank it higher.
I wish SEO was that easy.
You build tens or hundreds of junk, computer generated pages with all the keywords you need, having links to your website, and the search engines give more and more credit to your website for that.
But that's not how the real world works. One can fool the search engines in a short period, but in the long run, this techniques backfire and a website may get punished for that. That's why they call such techniques as Negative SEO.
So if you really care about the ranking of your website in the search engines in the long run, please forget about such non-senses.
No one should take Search Engine Optimization trivial. It's not a matter of a few hours of keyword optimization. It needs a sound strategy to provide really good content in the website. Making other websites with higher authority to build credible links to your website, take time and effort.
Moreover a thorough research about the competitors in the field the website wants to operate, is mandatory. No matter how hard you are working to promote your website, your competitors may work harder than you. So by doing a research, the amount of effort and investment necessary for a successful campaign can be determined, and a plan can be devised accordingly.
